The Theatre Royal in Glasgow, Scotland, is the setting for "Highland Heartbeat" (8 p.m., KTCA, Ch. 2), a PBS special featuring a gathering of singers including Fiona Kennedy, Jim Malcolm, Jillian Isbister, Maureen McMullan, Daisy Chute and Darren Maclean performing a combination of traditional songs of Scotland and pop hits. The baseball season will be here soon, so Turner Classic Movies is presenting a bit of diamond action. "Bang the Drum Slowly" (2:30 p.m., TMC), the 1973 movie starring Michael Moriarty and Robert de Niro, chronicles the relationship between a pitcher and catcher coping with the latter's terminal illness.
